Is A Parenting Subscription Worth It? We Tried ZÉRA Mom Club

Look, I love being a mama – but the amount of research involved? UNREAL! 😅

From the newborn stage to toddlerhood to preschool life, it constantly feels like there’s something new to figure out, and I’ve got 20 tabs open in my head at all times:

Which nappies won’t trigger rashes – but also won’t leak?

What toys are actually age-appropriate right now?

Which skills should they be working on at this stage? What classes should we try?

Where’s a fun spot to take them this weekend?

And the list goes on.

If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you can relate 😂

ZÉRA Mom Club got in touch recently, and I was intrigued by the idea behind it: a subscription that brings together kid-friendly classes, play experiences, and trusted baby products in one place.

My first impression ➡️ It feels a little like ClassPass – but for parenting!

I gave the platform a try, and in this review, I’ll walk you through:

➡️ how the subscription works

➡️ the range of products and activities available

➡️ how much parents can save (we’ll do the math together!)

➡️ how you can get free credits to try out their best activities and products

Ready? Let’s get into it!

Disclosures:

This post was written in collaboration with ZÉRA Mom Club. While this was a paid partnership, I only recommend what I truly find useful for fellow parents (and I genuinely enjoyed discovering new kid-friendly spots and products through the platform!).

Mama’s Guide to Malaysia is reader-supported. When you buy through links on my site, I may earn an affiliate commission, at no extra cost to you. Thank you!

What Is ZÉRA Mom Club?

ZÉRA Mom Club is a monthly membership subscription where parents can redeem trusted kids’ products, classes, workshops, and experiences using credits.

What I like: Instead of randomly hopping between Instagram pages, Shopee listings, and WhatsApp bookings, everything is conveniently available on one platform.

I’ll be real – anything that makes mamahood less overstimulating is a huge win in my books 😮‍💨

The membership includes:

✅ Indoor playground tickets

✅ Classes & workshops

✅ Playgroup sessions

✅ Babies’ & kids’ products

One thing I especially appreciate is that brands must undergo a screening process before being featured on the platform, helping to ensure the products and services offered are reliable.

When chatting with the ZÉRA Mom Club team, they also shared that they’re continuously growing their partner network, so members can expect fresh experiences and products over time 🙌.

How The Membership Works

The membership runs on a credit-based system.

There’s a good range of monthly plans available, depending on how actively you plan to use the platform:

After signing up, you’ll receive monthly credits that can be used to redeem products, activities, and experiences.

Unused credits can be rolled over to the following month. You can also:

➡️ top up credits

➡️ switch plans

➡️ or cancel anytime

What Browsing The Platform Feels Like

The platform is straightforward to navigate.

You can:

➡️ scroll through the homepage

➡️ search by keywords

➡️ or filter by age range, type of experience or product, and credits required

The filter function is the easiest way to go about things if you already have something specific in mind – just tick what you need, and you’ll get a personalized list to pick from.

What Activities Can You Redeem?

There’s plenty to explore, from indoor playgrounds to enrichment classes!

Here are some crowd-favorite picks:

Indoor playgrounds

  • Petit Parc
  • Jungle Gym
  • The Parenthood

Fitness classes

  • Kids yoga
  • CrossFit for kids

Baby playgroups

  • Messy play
  • Sensory book club

Kid-friendly thrills

  • KF Kiddy Circuit Go-Kart
  • Imagine Nation

Free trial classes

  • Swimming
  • Public speaking
  • Mandarin
  • Lego robotics

Thanks to the membership, we finally made our way to Petit Parc – and it was SO worth it!

It’s one of the pricier playgrounds in KL and for good reason – it’s a proper co-working space fitted with a full-sized indoor playground, and complemented with plenty of family amenities, including an extensive pantry, nursing room, quiet room for work calls, and more!

If it weren’t for the membership, we wouldn’t have discovered this really cool Lego Robotics class in Bangsar either.

Hosted by enrichment center Our Little Ones Empire, the class fuses Lego building with basic coding, and it’s great fun!

What Products Can You Redeem?

The products section of the platform includes sample sizes and full-sized items that you can try out to see if they work great for your little ones.

These are some of the family-favorite brands you can check out on the platform:

Baby essentials

  • Hoppi
  • Bzu Bzu
  • Pigeon

Snacks

  • Milna
  • Baebis
  • Farm Fresh

For mamas

  • Supermama
  • Matcharo

Toys and fun stuff

  • No Nasties
  • Wooden toy sets

Just a heads up: The products section is meant to let families sample certain brands and products. It’s not suitable for stocking up on monthly supplies, as there are set quantity limits to the products you can get.

Also, based on our experience ordering the products, the shipping may take a while, so I’d say ordering on the platform is best for non-urgent items only.

Can You Really Save With ZÉRA Mom Club?

For full transparency, I was able to try the above experiences and products for free, as part of our content partnership plan with ZÉRA Mom Club.

But I wanted to figure out how much everything would cost when we continue to subscribe, so let’s use the 120 Credit Plan (RM89/month) as a reference point.

That works out to approximately RM0.75 per credit.

I’ll use our Petit Parc trip to give you an idea of how much value you can expect to enjoy as a member.

With ZÉRA Mom Club

I’d pay: RM89 for the subscription

I redeem:

75 credits (1 kid ticket)

+ 25 credits (1 adult ticket)

= 100 credits (about RM75)

Standard Rates

I’d pay:

RM75 (1 kid ticket)

+ RM25 (1 adult ticket)

 = RM100

➡️ That’s RM15 worth of savings on tickets AND I’ve still got 20 credits left to redeem more activities and products 👌

Let’s take another example: A trip to Jungle Gym!

I’ll compare the rates of 1 kid ticket.

With ZÉRA Mom Club

I’d redeem:

60 credits (1 kid ticket)

= About RM45

Standard Rates

I’d pay:

RM66 (1 kid ticket)

➡️ That’s a whopping RM21 worth of savings on tickets!

For babies’ and kids’ supplies, I went full-on auntie mode and compared the prices against marketplace listings.

From what I found, the products on ZÉRA Mom Club are generally cheaper.

Here’s a look at one of the items I got – 1 pack of Baebis Fruit Cubes:

With ZÉRA Mom Club

I’d redeem:

5 credits

= About RM3.75 (+RM5.90 flat-rate delivery)

Third-Party Retailer

I’d pay:

About RM15 (excluding delivery)

⚠️ I’ll be very honest though – I’m apprehensive about buying kids’ products on third-party sites. I’ve heard way too many scary stories about counterfeit products. ZÉRA Mom Club works directly with the official brand to ensure product authenticity.

Here’s another example – the Bzu Bzu VelvetBreeze Baby Diapers:

With ZÉRA Mom Club

I’d redeem:

35 credits

= About RM26.25 (+RM5.90 flat-rate delivery)

Official Store on Shopee

I’d pay:

About RM39.40 (excluding delivery)

A note on shipping: Products redeemed through the platform come with a RM5.90 flat-rate delivery fee, so it makes sense to bulk your purchases together where possible.

Okay, one last comparison – here’s the Farm Fresh Grow UHT Milk:

With ZÉRA Mom Club

I’d redeem:

1 credit

= About RM0.75 (+RM5.90 flat-rate delivery)

Official Store on Shopee

I’d pay:

About RM1.35 each excluding delivery (sold in a 32-pack carton)

💡 This is another thing I found genuinely useful: I can try just one unit instead of committing to an entire carton (or the 4-pack version in stores).

It’s not always easy to find a good fit when it comes to babies’ and kids’ products, and it just feels less wasteful this way in case the product doesn’t work out for them.

Shipping info: ZÉRA Mom Club products are available for shipping across all states in Malaysia!
